JACKSON COUNTY – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to begin a bridge deck overlay project on U.S. 50 over Guthrie Creek on or after Monday, March 30, in Jackson County.
Work will take place on U.S. 50 between South County Road 870 West and North County Road 975 West and is expected to be completed in mid-June, weather permitting. U.S. 50 will be reduced to one lane using temporary traffic signals while work is in progress.
This is a separate location from the planned bridge deck overlay project on U.S. 50 between the State Road 135 intersections just west of Brownstown.
This work is part of a $6.8 million contract awarded to E&B in July 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.Â
