JACKSON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc., is scheduled to begin a bridge deck overlay project on U.S. 50 near the East Fork White River on or after Monday, March 30, just west of Brownstown.
Work will take place on U.S. 50 between the State Road 135 and U.S. 50 interchanges and is expected to be complete in early July, weather permitting. U.S. 50 will be reduced to one lane using temporary traffic signals while work is in progress.
This work is part of a $6.8 million contract awarded to E&B in July 2025. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
