BEDFORD — The North Lawrence Community Schools (NLCS) Board of Trustees has scheduled an executive session for later this week to discuss sensitive administrative matters, including property strategy and personnel evaluations.

The meeting is set for Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the NLCS Administration Building located at 460 W Street in Bedford.
The executive session will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m., immediately following the conclusion of the Board’s regular open session, which is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
According to the notice released by Board President Adam Parsley, the session is being held in accordance with Indiana’s Open Door Law, which allows governing bodies to meet privately for specific, legally defined purposes.
The agenda includes:
- Real Estate Strategy: Discussions regarding the potential purchase or lease of real property by the corporation.
- Personnel Interviews: Receiving information about and interviewing prospective school corporation employees.
- Performance Reviews: Discussing the job performance evaluations of individual employees.
- Legal Counsel: Engaging in privileged communications with the board’s attorney.
While the executive session is closed to the public to protect the privacy of personnel and the integrity of property negotiations, any formal actions or final votes resulting from these discussions must be conducted in a subsequent public meeting.
