Marlene Kay Hayes, 80, of Bedford, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at her residence.
Born October 6, 1945, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Morris Gib and Ola Helen (Davis) Shaw. She was a loving and caring friend to many and loved to sing karaoke with her friends.
She is survived by her loving partner, Jack Hamilton; son, Barry Scott Taylor; daughter, Lee Ann White; son, Troy Lynn Taylor; grandchildren, Kayla Jo Philpott, Dustin Patrick Scott Mitternight, Katie Taylor, Steven Taylor, Charlotte Taylor, Samuel Taylor; and loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Nancy and Renie, and a brother Steve.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Day & Carter Mortuary.
