Bedford Planning Commission to hold special meeting regarding new development proposals

BEDFORD The City of Bedford Planning Commission has scheduled a special session to review new development proposals that could impact the city’s commercial and residential landscape.

The meeting is set for Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the City Concourse Building, located at 1402 H Street in Bedford.

The primary focus of the special meeting will be two preliminary hearings for K&J Investments, LLC. The developer is seeking approval for projects located near the intersection of John Williams Boulevard and Limestone Drive.

While specific details of the site plans will be unveiled during the hearings, property records indicate that K&J Investments recently acquired acreage in this high-traffic area, which has seen significant growth over the past year. The commission will evaluate the preliminary proposals to ensure they align with the city’s comprehensive zoning and land-use standards.

Planning and Zoning Director Kevin Jones emphasized that these meetings are a vital part of the city’s growth process. Members of the community are encouraged to attend to stay informed about local development and provide input during the public portion of the hearings.

As a special meeting, this session falls outside of the commission’s regular second-Tuesday-of-the-month schedule, highlighting the urgency or significance of the pending applications.
