Obituary: Judith Lynn (Bush) Crew

December 3, 1950 – March 3, 2026

Judith Lynn (Bush) Crews, 75, of Orleans, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington.

Born on December 3, 1950, in Bedford, Judith was a shining light in the lives of those who knew her.

A proud graduate of Mitchell High School, Class of 1969, Judith dedicated her life to being the cornerstone of her son’s childhood. Her role as a devoted wife to her husband, Vencil Eugene Crews, was equally profound, as she consistently provided strength and understanding. Judith’s genuine nature made her a cherished friend to many, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand.

Judith’s life was marked by her advocacy for kidney disease treatment and education, a passion deeply rooted in her own experiences. Her commitment to this cause inspired many, and her legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

Judith is survived by her devoted husband, Vencil, and loving son, Jeremy Scott Brown, who will forever carry her spirit within them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald M. Bush and Adren Louisa (Pridemore) Bush, as well as her sister, Donna Lou (Bush) Conley, and brother, William Scott Bush.

The love and warmth that Judith shared with her family will be a guiding light for them as they navigate life without her physical presence.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Ralph Purkiser and Brother David Conley officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Judith Lynn Crews will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the profound impact she made on the lives of those around her.
