Obituary: Terry Oliver Bultman

July 31, 1955 – March 1, 2026

Terry Oliver Bultman, 70, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 31, 1955, in Milan, Indiana, he was the son of Woodrow and Martha (Engel) Bultman. He married Gwendolyn “Gwen” Godby on June 3, 1977, and she survives. Terry retired from IU Bedford Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital after many years.

Terry was a Christian that loved his savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Resurrection Life Ministries in Mitchell.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Gwen, of Bedford; sons, Terry “TJ” Oliver Bultman Jr. , Thomas (Alicia Hill) Bultman, and Samuel Bultman, all of Bedford; two daughters, Kerri (Bultman) Bayless and husband Brock, of Greensburg, and Kanisha (Bultman) Turpin, and husband, David, of Bedford; grandchildren, Michaela Hoegeman and fiancé Tristan Smith, of Greensburg, Isaiah and Elijah Johnson, Julian, Jayla, and Jream Turpin, and Karaline and Lanie Bultman, all of Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nadine (Wayne) Strimple; brother, Donald J. (Karen) Bultman; grandson, James Michael Bultman in infancy; and his grandparents.

Terry was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, uncle “cycle” to his great-nephews, brother-in-law, and friend. All that knew Terry loved him. He couldn’t go out in public without seeing someone he knew. Terry enjoyed going to yard sales, flea markets, thrift shops, and antique stores. Where ever he could go to get a good deal, and then sell it for a profit. He made many friends in his finds.

He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

In honor of Terry there will be a Celebration of Life at the Resurrection Life Ministries in Mitchell, at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026. In honor of Terry’s love for Hawaiian shirts, we ask that everyone who attends could wear something Hawaiian. There will be leis available at the church for those who can’t wear Hawaiian.
