Martin County Democrats elect new leadership in special caucus

SHOALS The Martin County Democratic Party has officially signaled a new chapter for its local organization following a leadership caucus held over the weekend. On Sunday afternoon, party members gathered in Shoals to elect the new officers of the Martin County Democratic Central Committee.

The special caucus was presided over by Dave Crooks, Chairman of Indiana’s 8th District, ensuring the reorganization followed official party protocols.

The newly elected leadership team tasked with guiding the party’s local strategy and community outreach includes:

  • Chairman: Alex Toy
  • Vice Chairman: Audra Deckard
  • Secretary: Nikki Wagoner
  • Treasurer: Megan Crays

The election comes at a pivotal time for local politics as parties across the state prepare for upcoming election cycles. District Chairman Dave Crooks noted the importance of robust county-level leadership in maintaining a competitive presence in Southwest Indiana.
