Road closure planned for State Road 57 in Greene County

GREENE COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 57 in Greene County.

Beginning on or around Tuesday, March 10, crews will close State Road 57 near Switz City. This closure will occur between County Road West 100 South and County Road West 200 South.

This road closure will allow for a bridge deck overlay project to be completed. Additional roadway improvements are also planned during this closure. Work is expected to last through the beginning of June, depending on the weather.

The official detour for this project is State Road 54 to State Road 67 to State Road 58. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
