ODON  On Thursday, Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) delivered remarks at the Munitions Campus Groundbreaking Ceremony near Naval Weapons Station Crane. This event marked the establishment of the new facility, set to become operational in 2027, that is dedicated to producing high-performance, cost-effective energetic components and solid rocket motors, which will strengthen the military readiness and capabilities of the United States and our allies.

Senator Jim Banks: “The Munitions Campus is a generational investment into America’s defense industrial base. I’m proud that this project will take place in Indiana, which continues to support our military and national security.”

Senator Banks is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The Munitions campus at Crane is part of a 1,100-acre defense-tech development and manufacturing hub set to begin operating in 2027. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs and spur $600 million in private spending.
