Hazel L. Adams, 85, of Bedford, passed away at 10:11 a.m., on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born December 4, 1940, in Springville, she was the daughter of Oscar E. and Cora P. (Beyers) Guthrie. She married Phillip Wayne Adams on October 27, 1961, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2013. Hazel was a member of the Hillcrest Christian Church, and she worked as a cashier at the Bedford North Lawrence High School.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila (Randy) Myers of Fayetteville; one son, David Adams of Bedford; three grandchildren, Dakota, Brittany, and Jeremy; four great-grandchildren, Kelton, Kailyn, Maddison, and Jeremy, Jr.; a great-great-granddaughter Kylie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip, her parents, three half-brothers, Ivan and Merle Borders, and Jim Guthrie, and sister Bonnie Guthrie.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to the hour of service on Friday.
