BEDFORD — A Scottsburg man is facing criminal charges in Lawrence County after allegedly sending a series of violent voice messages to a former neighbor and her boyfriend.
Shawn P. Glaab, 34, of Scottsburg, is the subject of an arrest warrant following an investigation by the Bedford Police Department into allegations of felony intimidation.
The investigation began in the early morning hours of June 23, 2025. According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Capt. Max Uebelhoer, officers were dispatched to an apartment on Riley Boulevard at approximately 1:25 a.m.
The complainants, informed police that Glaab, a former neighbor, had sent multiple threatening voice clips to their phone just minutes prior.
The couple explained that the animosity stemmed from a previous incident where Glaab allegedly made romantic advances toward the female while she was briefly separated from her significant other. The female reportedly rebuffed the advances and informed Glaab’s wife of the behavior, leading to the end of Glaab’s relationship and his subsequent anger toward the couple.
During the investigation, officers reviewed four separate voice messages provided by the victims. According to court documents, the messages contained explicit threats of physical violence.
On June 30, 2025, Capt. Uebelhoer made contact with Glaab via the phone number used to send the threats. According to the affidavit, Glaab admitted to sending the voice messages on June 23 and stated he remembered the specific quotes when they were read back to him by the officer.
Glaab reportedly reiterated his belief that the couple played a role in the dissolution of his relationship.
Following the investigation, the Bedford Police Department filed for an arrest warrant on a charge of intimidation. Glaab was detained on February 14, 2026.
