INDIANA — On Tuesday, January 27, at 1:30 p.m., a group of transgender advocates will gather at the Senate Chamber in the Statehouse to protest Senate Bill 182. The most extreme anti-LGBTQ+ bill moved by lawmakers since RFRA, SB182, amounts to a statewide ban on public toilet use for thousands of transgender students and faculty.
Advocates will be offering lawmakers and the press a powerful visual that illustrates why such a ban is dangerous, extreme, unworkable, and ill-considered. They will also be available to answer questions about the impacts of SB182 from the press.
The event will also include the delivery of over 1,000 signatures from Hoosiers calling for the bill’s rejection to the office of Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray.
