Noel David Brumage, 52, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at IU Health Methodist Hospital.
Born July 3, 1973 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of Noel Jeffery ‘Jeff’ and Rebecca ‘Becky’ Ann (Fithyan) Brumage. He was baptized at an early age in the Catholic church in Zanesville, Ohio. He married Leann Kay Luchauer on October 14, 1994, and she survives.
David was a certified welder with the State of Indiana and had recently been working at Indiana Steel. He was a fourth-generation boy scout and past member of Troop 348. David earned Eagle Scout in 1991. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing on the river, mushroom hunting, caving, and hiking.
Survivors include his wife, Leann Brumage of Bedford; parents, Jeff and Becky Brumage of Mitchell; step son, Devin Luchauer of Mitchell; sisters, Jennifer (Richie) Key of Mitchell and Lori (Kenny Turner) Brumage of Taylorsville; nephews, Connor and Lance Key and Rhys Judy; aunts and uncles, Jill (Chuck) Bailey of Zanesville, Ohio and Ernie (Teresa) Fithyan of West Virginia; and mother-in-law, Brenda Luchauer of Bedford.
His grandparents; two uncles; and father-in-law, Oral Luchauer, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 30 in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will follow at Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
