Inez K. “Patty” Barlett, 91, of Bedford, passed away on January 21, 2026, at 11:15 PM at Stonebridge Health Campus. Patty was born in Jonesville, Virginia, on February 7, 1934, to William Lee Yeary and Rosa (Saylor) Yeary. Patty married Robert “Bob” Bartlett on May 5, 1956, and he preceded her in death in 2008. Patty was a homemaker and substitute teacher at the BNL Vocational School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford for over 50 years.
Survivors include three children, Nancy (Larry) Limp of Bedford, Tom Bartlett of Bedford, and Susan (Tim) Bowman of Germantown, Ohio, six grandchildren, Cory (Tiffany) Bartlett, Nathan (Kelsea) Fields, John (Brittney) Limp, Michael (Amber) Bowman, William Bowman, and Emma Kate Taylor, five great grandchildren, Knox Fields, Cole Bartlett, Emlyn Limp, Ellison Limp, and Ensley Limp, several nieces and nephews that she adored.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert “Bob” Bartlett, one daughter, Julie Bartlett Taylor, four brothers, Zenis Yeary, Ross Yeary, Allen Yeary, and Germany Yeary, five sisters, Mabel Carroll, Fannie Nichols, Edith Young, Iris Haywood, and Ruth May.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, 1515 20 th Street in Bedford, with Pastor Jason Filler officiating. Burial will be in Ikerd Cemetery, and visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the church. Condolences may be made at www.cresthavenfh.com.
