ISP releases new evidence in 2022 cold case investigation of Linton woman

BLOOMINGTON — Nearly four years after her body was discovered in a rural Owen County town, Indiana State Police (ISP) are renewing their plea for public assistance in the death investigation of Kendra Odle.

On January 16, 2026, state investigators released a crucial piece of evidence: a surveillance photograph of Odle taken during her last known sighting. Authorities hope this new visual aid will jog the memory of anyone who may have seen her or her vehicle during the window of her disappearance.

Kendra Odle, a Muncie native who was living in Linton at the time, vanished in the spring of 2022.

She was last on seen April 23, 2022, at approximately 1:15 p.m. at the CVS located on East State Road 54 in Linton.

Her body was discovered on June 21, 2022, inside her blue Ford Fiesta parked along US 231 in Freedom, Indiana.

Freedom is located roughly 20 miles northeast of the Linton CVS. Investigators noted a significant detail when Odle was discovered in June, she was wearing the exact same clothing seen in the surveillance photo taken at the CVS two months prior.

The gap between her last sighting in April and her discovery in June remains a focal point for detectives. The Indiana State Police Bloomington District is leading the investigation and is looking for any information regarding her movements, associates, or the location of her blue Ford Fiesta during those eight weeks.

Even a small observation from that day at CVS or the weeks following could be the key to providing answers for Kendra’s family

Anyone with information, no matter how seemingly insignificant, is urged to contact the ISP Bloomington District at 812-332-4411.

Callers may remain anonymous. Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who traveled along US 231 in Freedom between late April and June of 2022 and noticed a blue Ford Fiesta parked or idling in the area.
