Carl Spoonmore, 93, of Springville, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Belle’s Place in Fayetteville.
Born December 16, 1932, in Springville, he was the son of Stanley and Lottie (Harp) Spoonmore. He married Lydia Mae Strunk on March 14, 1953, and she preceded him in death on September 30, 2010. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, he was stationed at Fort Lewis from March 1953 to March 1955. He retired from Crane in 1987.
Survivors include three sons, Stan Spoonmore and wife, Tricia, of Springville, Kevin Spoonmore and wife, Becky, of Oolitic, and Kent Spoonmore and wife Tammy, of Springville; grandchildren, Jayme Spoonmor Davis, Jessica Spoonmore Stewart, Kyla Spoonmore Fish, Justin Spoonmore, Erica Spoonmore Fair, Kelli Spoonmore Michael, Jare Spoonmore, and Jacey Spoonmore Smith; 18 great-grandchildren; his companion, Shirley Webster.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and siblings, Nellie Clements, Fern Bolton, Paul Spoonmore, and Kay Wilson
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Keith Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Christian Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
Pallbearers are: Justin Spoonmore, Andrew Davis, Chuck Smith, Ben Fair, Khalil Stewart, Tyson Fish and Josh Michael.
