JASPER – Bedford North Lawrence suffered a pair of defeats during a double-dual high school swimming meet at Jasper on Saturday.
The Stars dropped decisions to Jeffersonville (125-54) and Jasper (136-45) in the simultaneous boys meets. In the girls meets, BNL was conquered by the Red Devils (102-74) and Wildcats (130-53).
Ava Lipp was the lone winner for the Stars as she clocked 1:05.09 while taking the 100-yard backstroke.
Other top performers for BNL in the girls meet included the 200 medley relay (Lipp, Emma Heinzman, Sabrina Lipp and Alaina Fish finished second in 2:07.02) and Heinzman (second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.70).
In the boys meet, BNL’s best was third place in the 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay.
BNL will host Columbus East on Jan. 8.
