Donna Faye Kern, 84, of Bedford, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 6:53 am on Monday, December 22, 2025, at her residence.
Born December 18, 1941, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Rusaw and Edith Faye (Collier) Goens. She married Paul Edward Kern and he preceded her in death. She was an ad composer for the Times-Mail Newspaper and a member of the Highview Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Julie Quinn, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Tamara Thomas (Danny), of Springville, Angela Harris (Jamie), of Danville, KY; one son, Jay Kern, of Bedford; four grandchildren, Barry Ryan, II, Jessica Bunch (Brandon), Megan Morrow, Danny Thomas, Jr. (Ashley); three great- grandchildren, Blake Carlisle, Gavin Pruett, and Caine Bunch; a brother, Daniel Goens (Deana), of Bedford; a sister, Debbie Wagner (Danny), of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son-in-law, Dale Quinn and a grandson, Lance Thomas.
