WASHINGTON, D.C, – Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) released the following statement addressing the out-of-control rising healthcare costs Hoosiers are facing.
Senator Jim Banks (R-Ind.) said, “I’m hearing from people across Indiana who are getting hit with rising healthcare costs. They’re doing everything they can to stay afloat, and healthcare costs are pushing them to the breaking point.
“Since President Obama and the Democrats passed the so-called Affordable Care Act, premiums have shot up, deductibles are through the roof, doctors are leaving insurance networks, and working families are left stuck with fewer options and higher bills. It’s unacceptable.
Now Democrats in Congress want to use your tax dollars to paper over the mess they created. This ignores the root causes of the problem and allows prices to keep climbing. I’m working with my Republican colleagues in the Senate and with President Trump on real, long-term reforms that put patients first, increase competition, and actually drive costs down.”
