Michael Alan Staggs, 60, of Bedford, passed away at 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his residence.
Born August 1, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Kenny Dale and Lois Ann (Stannard) Staggs. He married Mary Jones on June 30, 1984. He was a construction worker at Building Associates and was a talented carpenter. Michael was a member of the Peerless Trinity Pentecostal Church and loved to fish and hunt.
He loved his family with his whole heart.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; his children, Michael Staggs Jr. (Amber), Trista Staggs, Kayla Staggs, Matt “Buzz” Staggs, Jessica Foster, Patricia “Taterbug” Staggs; grandchildren, Elijah Staggs, Ava Staggs, Hannah Staggs, Madalyn Staggs, Callie Staggs, Daniel McKinney, Carson McKinney, Emily Woods, Hunter Mckinney, Colton McKinney, Matthew Staggs, Willow Staggs, Richard Thomas, Mary Foster, Arie Foster, Kenny Alan Staggs; siblings Carmen Burnette (Russell), Greg Staggs, Jeff Staggs (Karen); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; his canine girlfriends Scamper and Sissy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two nephews Jeremy Burnette and Dustin James Staggs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Trinity Peerless Pentecostal Church with Russell Burnette and Aaron Swafford officiating. Burial will follow at Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5 th at Day & Carter Mortuary, and 9:00 a.m. to the time of service at the church.
