Darren Scott Tegarden, born July 6, 1975, in Salem, Indiana, passed away on November 24,
2025, in Bedford, Indiana.
He was the son of David Tegarden and Linda (Kalb) Leatherman.
Darren is survived by his mother, Linda (Kalb) Leatherman; his son, Tray Grubbs of Washington, Indiana; and his siblings: Anita (Tegarden) Rector and her husband Darrin, Jeremey Tegarden, Harold Leatherman, and Tony Leatherman Jr. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Melissa (in infancy) and Lisa
(Tegarden) Eads.
Known for his compassionate spirit and ever-present sense of humor, Darren had a remarkable ability to bring light into the lives of those around him. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and brought comfort and laughter wherever he went. His arm smile and joking personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
A celebration of Darren’s life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bedford, Indiana at 11:00 a.m.
