NATIONWIDE — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a nationwide recall of two holiday bark products sold at Aldi stores due to a dangerous packaging error that resulted in undeclared wheat and pecan allergens. The recall, issued on November 26, affects two specific Choceur brand items produced by Silvestri Sweets Inc.
The packaging of the two products was mistakenly swapped, posing a serious health risk to individuals with wheat or pecan allergies.

The mix-up has resulted in the following allergen risks:
- Choceur Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark inadvertently contains undeclared wheat.
- Choceur Cookie Butter Holiday Bark inadvertently contains undeclared pecans.
Customers should immediately check their pantries for the following affected items:
| Product Name | Packaging | Lot Number | Best-By Date | Undeclared Allergen |
| Choceur Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark | 5 oz. stand-up pouch bag | 29225 | 08/2026 | Wheat |
| Choceur Cookie Butter Holiday Bark | 5 oz. stand-up pouch bag | 29225 | 05/2026 | Pecans |
The FDA is strongly urging all customers who purchased these products to throw them away, regardless of whether they can safely consume the undeclared allergens.
