NATIONWIDE — Millions of Americans on Medicare are reminded that the annual Open Enrollment period is quickly approaching its deadline, offering a final opportunity to review and change their prescription drug and health coverage for the upcoming year.
The deadline to explore all options and make changes for 2026 coverage is December 7th.

Medicare recipients must decide whether to remain with their current plans or switch to a new plan that better fits their health needs and budget for the new calendar year. This period is the only time most beneficiaries can change their Medicare Advantage (Part C) or Medicare prescription drug coverage (Part D) plans.
Medicare officials strongly encourage beneficiaries to use the online plan finder tool to compare 2026 costs, benefits, and pharmacy networks.
“Take a few moments to find a plan that best fits your needs and budget for 2026,” officials advise.
Coverage options can be thoroughly explored on the official government website, Medicare.gov/plan-compare.
Failure to select new coverage or make changes by December 7th means beneficiaries will generally keep their current plan for the entire 2026 calendar year
