Ronald D. Neal, 83, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington.
He was born in Mitchell, Indiana, on October 27, 1942, to George and Sallie (Miller) Neal. Ronald married Carol Hawk on August 12, 1967, and she survives. Ronald retired from Lehigh Cement in Mitchell. He proudly served in both the US Navy and the US Army. He was a member of the Mitchell V.F.W. and the Mitchell American Legion Post #250; he attended The Remnant Church in Bedford.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Neal of Bedford, three daughters, Tammy (Richard) Grace of Mitchell, Dee Ann (Mark) Reid of Bedford, and Christy (Tim) Branaman, eight grandchildren, Ryan (Samantha) Grace, Justin (Dori) Grace, Emily (Tyler) Atchison, Jacob Reid, Michael Reid, Dylan Reid, Hannah Branaman, and Madison (Dylan Ferry) Branaman, nine great-grandchildren, Addison Grace, Oliver Grace, Zaylee Grace, Ziyah Grace, Zella Grace, Zavier Grace, Hanlea Atchison, Hadlea Atchison, and Ledger Ferry, and two sisters, Sheila Luther and Shirley Neal.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Linda Hale, Georgia Gresham, Roselle Smith, Mona Little, two brothers, Mark Neal, and Joseph Neal in infancy.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Brother Justin Duncan and Mark Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Military rites will be performed by the Mitchell American Legion Post #250. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
