BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington will provide a free weekly curbside leaf collection from Monday, Nov. 3, to Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025. Residents should place bagged leaves at the curb on their regular collection day. Leaves must be in biodegradable paper yard-waste bags. Plastic bags will not be collected.
Free bundles of biodegradable bags are available while supplies last at the Sanitation Division, 3406 S. Walnut St., Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional bags can be purchased at most hardware stores. Each household is limited to one free bundle.
Bags must contain leaves only and be set out by 6 a.m. on pickup day. Service may be delayed during severe weather or holidays.
