LAWRENCE CO.— The Lawrence County Highway Department has announced a temporary road closure on Tunnelton Road this Friday for necessary infrastructure improvements.
The closure will allow crews to replace a culvert on Tunnelton Road, specifically located between North/South Poor Farm Road and South Leatherwood.

- Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Traffic will be blocked entirely at both the intersection of North/South Poor Farm Road and South Leatherwood Road for the duration of the work.
The Highway Department notes that the road will reopen immediately if work is completed ahead of the scheduled 2:00 p.m. time. Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternate routes during this construction period and are thanked for their patience as the county works to improve its roadways.
