MONROE CO. – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Ragle, Inc., is scheduled to begin bridge deck overlay work on State Road 48 over Richland Creek on or after Saturday, October 25, in Monroe County.
Bridge work will take place on State Road 48 just east of State Road 43 and is expected to be completed in late November, weather permitting. Temporary traffic signals will be used while work is in progress, reducing State Road 48 to one lane.
This work is part of a $3.2 million contract awarded to Ragle in July 2023.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
