INDIANAPOLIS – Effective January 1, 2024, upon provisional approval of the BDS New Provider Application for the Community Integration & Habilitation Waiver (CIH) and Family Supports Waiver (FSW), leadership staff within the prospective provider organization are required to attend the Introductory Session of the BDS Leadership Training Series.
This training supports new providers by providing information and resources to build their business acumen as a BDS HCBS provider. This day-long training is offered in Indianapolis every quarter and must be completed before final approval as a BDS HCBS provider for the CIH and FSW Waivers. Prospective providers have one calendar year from the date of provisional approval to attend this training. 2026 training dates are:
- Monday, January 26, 2026
- Monday, April 20, 2026
- Monday, July 20, 2026
- Monday, October 19, 2026
All training is held at the Indiana Government Center—South Conference Center, in Harrison Hall, Room 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET. There is no virtual option.
Please note that attendance at the required BDS Leadership Training Series – Initial Session is not a guarantee of final approval.
Only provisionally approved applicants may attend this mandatory training. Pre-registration is required, and attendees must be present for the entire day to receive credit. Pre-registration closes 72 business hours before each training, and walk-in registration will not be accepted. Provisionally approved providers may register by contacting BDS Provider Services at BDSProviderServices@fssa.in.gov.
