City of Bloomington Utilities Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for 33 addresses

BLOOMINGTON – Due to a main break, 33 addresses on South Hays Drive, South Rogers Street, and West Rebecca Street will be under a precautionary boil water advisory until 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17th, unless otherwise notified.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) requires all public water systems to issue a precautionary Boil Water Advisory when the pressure in the water main drops below 20 psi. Those affected should follow these instructions: 

  • Immediately after your normal water pressure is restored, run COLD water from a sink or tub until clear water flows from the faucet.
  • Boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and oral hygiene for at least 5 minutes before consumption.
  • It is not necessary to boil water for other uses.

Affected customers with up-to-date contact information were alerted directly by CBU Customer Service. Customers can use the form at bton.in/cbu24 to update their contact information electronically.
