Charles Coval Mathews, 76, of Knightstown, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at his residence.
Born April 18, 1949, in Charlevoix, Michigan, he was the son of Lyman Coval and Alice (Korigan) Mathews. He married Anna Doran on October 18, 1990, in Greenfield, Indiana, and she survives. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a mechanic for most of his life.
He was a tell-it-as-it-is type of guy, always making people laugh, and knew how to give and take care of others. His friends and family will dearly miss him.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Anna; children, David (Kadie) Mathews and Christopher (Kayla) Mathews; grandchildren, Samuel, Maddyson, Emma, Jasper, and Atreus Mathews; siblings, Dorothy Dunville, Ida Mathews, Kathy Mathews, Cindy Smith, Anna Mathews, and Teddy Mathews; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Alice Mathews.
Cremation was chosen, and no services are planned at this time.
