INDIANA – Indiana Pacers games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be more accessible than ever this season. Through a new partnership with nonprofit MindsEye, blind and low-vision ticketed fans will now have access to live audio description at 20 home games, ensuring they don’t miss a moment of the action or the gameday atmosphere.

The new service, piloted during the last Pacers and Fever seasons, uses a trained audio describer to relay visual information from around the court and in the arena. This includes everything from the action of every dunk and pass to the antics of mascot Boomer, team uniforms, performances by the Indiana Pacemates, and the halftime acts.

“Pacers games are all about energy, excitement, and connection, and our fans deserve to feel part of that,” said Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO Mel Raines. “This partnership with MindsEye lets us bring the full game-day experience to blind and low-vision fans in a new way. We want everyone to feel and experience the buzz of gameday, which is really what makes Gainbridge Fieldhouse so special.”

Jason Frazier, President and CEO of MindsEye, shared in the excitement, saying, “Being a part of the first of something is always cool, but nothing beats being a part of the first of something that makes something accessible. Blind and partially sighted Pacers fans will now get to experience every element of Pacers gameday.”
The audio description service officially launches today during the Pacers’ preseason matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, and will be available for an additional 19 home games throughout the 2025-26 season.

Fans can easily access the live audio description by following a few simple steps:
