INDIANA – Taxpayers who received an automatic extension to file their state income taxes are being reminded that the November 17th deadline is quickly approaching.
The Indiana Department of Revenue automatically grants an extension to file state taxes for any taxpayer who was given a federal extension (which was due on October 15th). However, this automatic state extension only pushes the filing deadline for the paperwork itself, not the payment.
Taxpayers are encouraged to submit their required returns by November 17, 2025, to avoid potential late-filing penalties.
