RAMSEY – North Harrison scored three goals in the second half while conquering Bedford North Lawrence 4-2 during girls high school soccer action on Saturday.
The Cougars (4-11) tallied twice in the first 10 minutes of the second half while pulling away in the regular-season finale.
“Overall we played a good game against an opponent that was pretty evenly matched with us,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “We dug ourselves into a hole by giving up four goals. That makes it hard to come back, and they have to work that much harder to make up the difference.
”We had some opportunities to score early in the game, and I think if we would have it would have totally changed the course of the game. We were also missing two of our starters.”
BNL’s goals came from Summer Hughes (27:32 left in the second half) and Kylee Atchison (3:38 remaining).
The Stars (4-10-2) will face Martinsville in the first game of the Class 3A sectional at Martinsville on Tuesday.
