Marty Lee Eagans, 69, of East Oolitic, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his residence.
Born January 17, 1956, in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Claude and Rosalie Eagans. He married Kathy Terrell, and she preceded him in death on November 24, 2009. He was an operator at Bedford Recycling.
Survivors include a son, Brent Eagans (Crystal); a son-in-law, Jody Sullivan; a sister, Evelyn Terrell; a sister in-law, Linda Eagans; grandchildren, Nyschell (Tramas) Ault, Katelyn (Deaujujan) Cody, Kaylyn (Christian) Turner, Brentlee (Christina) Sullivan, Michael (McKenzie) Sullivan, Madolyn (David) King, Joey Sullivan, and Seanna Eagans; 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; his parents; a son, Stevie Eagans; a daughter, Crystal Sullivan; brothers, Larry Eagans, Mike Eagans, Kevin Taylor, Mike Luttrell, and Brad Taylor; and a sister, Sharon Roll.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 7th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, October 6th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
