Seymour closes with 4-0 shutout of BNL

SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence concluded the regular season and the Hoosier Hills Conference schedule with a 4-0 loss to Seymour during boys high school soccer action on Thursday.

The Owls (7-6-2 overall, 3-3 in the league) scored all their goals in the second half.

“We played with really good intensity and effort,” BNL coach Ryan Otis said. “We started wearing down in the second half. The kids never gave up and kept fighting. We just need to be crisper with our passes and first touch.”

Seymour’s goals came from Marckenson Paul (38:37 and 19:23), Brandon Martinez (32:14) and Kirby Tormoehlen (9:16).

The Stars (5-9-1 overall, 1-5 in the HHC) will face New Albany in the sectional semifinal at Floyd Central on Wednesday.
