Bedford woman violates probation terms sentenced to prison

BEDFORD—A Bedford woman was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction (DOC) on October 1, 2025, after her suspended sentence was revoked for failing to comply with the terms of her probation.

Kristy M. Fountain, 49, had previously pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy, a Level 6 felony, as part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana.

Fountain was initially sentenced to 910 days in the DOC, with 74 days credited and the remainder suspended for 545 days of supervised probation. After failing to comply with the terms and conditions of her probation, her suspended sentence was revoked and ordered into execution.

Judge Pro-Tem Robert Cline of Lawrence Superior Court I subsequently sentenced Fountain to 400 days in the DOC, with credit for 75 actual days served.

Senior Deputy Prosecutor Sarah Cummings said, “The Defendant was allowed to remain in the community and become a productive member of society. The Defendant refused to comply with the terms and conditions that she agreed to. The State hopes that upon return to the community, the Defendant becomes a productive member of Lawrence County.”
