MITCHELL – The Mitchell Community Schools Board of Trustees has announced two special sessions to discuss and vote on a new collective bargaining agreement. The meetings will be held at the Mitchell Community Schools Central Office at 441 North 8th Street.
The first special meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 26, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. The agenda for this session includes a presentation and discussion of the tentative collective bargaining agreement. The board will also vote on a proposal to reschedule two of its regular monthly meetings:
- The October 13, 2025, regular meeting has been rescheduled for October 20, 2025.
- The November 10, 2025, regular meeting has been rescheduled for November 17, 2025.
A second special session has been set for Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The sole item on the agenda for this meeting is the approval of the collective bargaining agreement. This suggests that the board may be ready to finalize the deal shortly after the initial discussion.
