INDIANA — This year’s National Farm Safety and Health Week will run from Sunday through September 27, with a focus on improving the safety of workers in one of the nation’s most hazardous industries: agriculture. The campaign, organized by the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety, is critical as fatal occupational injuries in agriculture-related industries increased by 5.38% from 2022 to 2023.

The theme for this year’s week is “Safety First—Avoid the Worst,” serving as a reminder that taking precautions on a farm can be the difference between life and death.
In support of this initiative, AgriSafe will host a series of 10 free webinars from September 22 to 26, aimed at farmers, ranchers, health professionals, and community members. The sessions will be held in the AgriSafe Learning Lab and will feature live Spanish interpretation. Each day will cover a different topic:
- Monday: Equipment and Rural Roadway Safety
- Tuesday: Health and Wellness
- Wednesday: Generations of Farming
- Thursday: Confined Spaces
- Friday: ATV/UTV Safety
The webinars are offered twice daily at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. CT, and continuing education credits will be available. Participants who attend three or more sessions can earn a “2025 National Farm Safety and Health Week Champion” badge.
The collective mission of AgriSafe and its partners is to reduce preventable injuries and fatalities in agriculture through education and outreach. For more information and to register, visit AgriSafe’s Learning Lab.
