BEDFORD — The Lawrence County Highway Department announced that a portion of Wayne Beasley Road will be closed today for paving.
According to Superintendent Brian Sowder, the road will be inaccessible to traffic while crews work and will reopen once the project is finished later today.
Signs have been posted to alert drivers of the closure and direct them to an alternate route. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and plan their travel accordingly.
The department expects the project to be completed and the road reopened by the end of the day.
