Wanda M. Childers, 83, of Bedford, passed away on September 13, 2025, at the IU Hospice House in Bloomington.
She was born in Corbin, Kentucky, on April 17, 1942, to Matt and Lula (Felts) Adams. Wanda had previously worked at RCA in Bloomington. She was also a homemaker and attended Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bedford. Wanda married Hurshel Childers, and he passed away before her.
Survivors include her three children, Sherri Childers, Dwayne Childers, and Tammy Childers; six grandchildren, Candice Williams, Bradley Williams, Courtney Williams, Sheyenne Childers, Shania Childers, and Dakota Childers; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Delbert Adams.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hurshel Childers, four brothers, Bill Adama, Lloyd Adams, Raymond Adams, and Gene Adams, two sisters, Mandy Alsip, and Virgie Mooneyham.
Cremation was chosen.
