Daviess Communty Hospial to host Walk for Suicide Loss & Awareness on Sept. 27

WASHINGTON – Daviess Community Hospital will host the Walk for Suicide Loss & Awareness on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at its campus. The free, non-competitive event aims to honor loved ones lost to suicide, provide mutual support, and raise awareness about mental health.

This year’s walk will feature keynote speaker Amber Crews, PMHNP-BC, a Washington native and mental health nurse practitioner. Crews will share her personal story of overcoming addiction, depression, and other mental health struggles through faith, therapy, and community support.

Suicide touches families and communities across Daviess County and beyond. By coming together, we can break down the stigma around mental health and shine a light on hope.

The Walk for Suicide Loss & Awareness gives families, survivors, and supporters a chance to:

  • Honor loved ones lost to suicide
  • Support each other through remembrance activities
  • Promote awareness and prevention in the community

This is a free, non-competitive walk open to people of all ages. Everyone is welcome.

Participants can register for the walk online at givebutter.com/dchwalk.
