Obituary: Bruce B. Greene

Bruce B. Greene passed away peacefully at his residence on August 29, 2025, in Oro Valley, Arizona. He was born to Mattie and Richard Greene in Three Lakes, Wisconsin.

Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wives Peggy and Janet, brother Leonard, and sister Lois. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Ramon and Carol Bass (Cheyna), Renee Ortega (Jade, Isaiah), Dave and Sue Greene (Annie, Dylan), Penny Greene (Faith, Michael), Randy and Cassie Bass (Sam, Becky, Jamie), Julie and Shane Gold (Amber, Bryan), Jim and Shelly Greene (Jessica, Edward), and Bill and Ngoc Greene (Jack, Henry).

Bruce is also survived by many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

He was loved by countless friends far and wide. He was blessed in his later years with his close friend and partner, Anne Apuron. Everyone who knew Bruce witnessed his love for life, laughter, and kindness to all.

 Bruce grew up in Hayward, Wisconsin, where he spent his childhood and teenage years. Oh, the stories he would recount to us kids.

Bruce served in the National Guard in both Wisconsin in the 724th Engineer Battalion in Hayward and in Indiana, earning an Honorable Discharge for his service. 

Bruce retired from Bethlehem Steel, Burns Harbor, Indiana, in 1994, where he was a crane operator.

Visitation and Memorial Services will be held on September 20, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Limestone Chapel of George Funeral Care, 527 15th St, Bedford, Indiana. 

Interment Service will be at Cresthaven Cemetery to follow thereafter, 3522 Dixie Hwy, Bedford, Indiana.
