INDIANA — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather input from private industry on the development of the Mid-States Corridor Project, Section of Independent Utility 2 (SIU2). The RFI, posted to the INDOT website, aims to inform the procurement and delivery strategies for this significant infrastructure project.

What is the RFI?
An RFI is a tool used by government agencies to collect information from qualified parties before formally soliciting bids. It helps INDOT better understand the capabilities, best practices, and innovative approaches available in the private sector, ensuring the project is delivered efficiently and effectively.
The RFI document provides detailed information about the project and outlines specific areas where INDOT is seeking feedback. By engaging with industry professionals at this early stage, the state hopes to optimize its approach to the project.
Project Details
The Mid-States Corridor Project is a new, four-lane highway that will connect U.S. 231 and Interstate 64 in southern Indiana. SIU2 is a key section of this project.
