January 13, 1958 – September 4, 2025
Luminada ‘Luming’ Yelito, 67, of Springville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend.
Born on January 13, 1958, in Santa Rita, Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines, she was the cherished daughter of the late Tomas and Feliza (Visda) Martin. As a devoted military wife, she embraced the frequent moves and new beginnings. From many overseas postings and bases across the United States, she adapted to many challenges, always made sure her family stayed close-knit, and her Filipino traditions thrived, especially during the holidays.
Luming always had a fondness for dogs and enjoyed their company, often finding comfort and happiness in their presence, especially in her later years, when she courageously faced health challenges while undergoing dialysis treatments. Throughout this journey, her faith remained her guiding light, offering comfort and hope to her and her family.
Luming is survived by her husband of 45 years, Stanley Yelito Jr.; her children, Ann (Kelly) Richmond and Paul Yelito; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her four brothers, Billy, Alberto, Rodolfo, and Laureano; and three sisters, Norma, Brigida, and Susana.
Luming’s unwavering love, quiet grace, and deep faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in the arms of our Lord.
