Indiana offers employer training grants to support workforce development

INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosier employers can apply for the Employer Training Grant program, designed to help businesses meet workforce demands while covering part of the cost of training employees in high-demand fields.

The grant reimburses companies for expenses related to hiring, training and retaining new or current workers. Employers can receive up to $50,000 in reimbursements for successfully retaining trained employees for at least six months.

The program is open to businesses in six key industry sectors identified by the state. Officials said the goal is to help companies “grow their own talent” and strengthen Indiana’s workforce.
