Obituary: Jackie Lee Dalton

August 11, 1942 – August 23, 2025

Jack and Linda met while working at Kodak in California. They married in 1969 in Lake Tahoe, CA, and moved to Bedford, IN. Jack graduated from Tunnelton High School in 1960, then served in the Army before moving to California. He is a graduate of Butler University with a degree in pharmacy. Linda graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose, California, in 1960. She was an LPN graduating from Ivy Tech and a homemaker. Jack and Linda moved from Nashville, IN, to Las Vegas, NV, in 1996, where they’ve enjoyed their lives together until their passing at home. Linda passed in Las Vegas, and Jack passed in Pahrump, NV. They had a beautiful life and truly loved each other, their family, and friends.

Survivors include Jack’s brother, Kenny Dalton; daughter Debora Lynn Prettyman; granddaughter Trudi Jayne Robertson; great-children Samantha Jones, Bailey (Chance) Northrup, Jack Robertson, and Keith Robertson; great-great-grandchildren: Grayson, Kaden, Levi, Jaxon, and Adalynn. Many beloved nieces and nephews

Preceding him in death were Jack’s parents, Harry Woodrow ‘Woody’ and Lucretia (Goen) Dalton; siblings, brother Harry Eugene ‘Gene’ Dalton, sisters Donna Gentry, and Sue Hack; Linda’s parents, Lyle and Vivian (Hateley) Johnson, her sibling Carol (Johnson) Krakauer; granddaughter Cara Lynn Jones-Kern.

Graveside Service is at Tunnelton Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on September 6 and will be officiated by Brad Rainey. Lunch is served at White River Baptist Church 7705 Tunnelton Rd following service.
