Roland Maxwell Lawyer Jr., 68, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born April 1, 1957, in Bedford, he was the son of Roland Lawyer Sr. and Roberta (Warner) Lawyer. Roland attended Bedford North Lawrence High School and later served in the United States Marine Corps for four years.
He enjoyed watching movies, walking, reading books, playing Pokémon, and spending time with his friends and family.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his siblings, Robin Lawyer, Vickie Hackler, Diane (Joe) Mosier, and Rhonda Hogge; and nieces and nephews, Tony (Asia) Lawyer, Michael (Amanda) Lawyer, Raven Lawyer, Ronald (Angie) Hackler II, Jody (Reid) Denniston, Jessica (Ryan) Gerkin, Tonya Mosier, Jamie Mosier, Kansas Floerke, Brad Cunningham, and Eric Philbeck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronnie Lawyer, and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation was chosen, and burial will take place at a later date.
