Paul David Basinger, 60, of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Majestic Care of Bedford.
Born January 26, 1965, in Bedford, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth (Basinger) Lucas.
Paul worked as a welder and fabricator, retiring from C&M Conveyor Inc. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his buddies reminiscing, and gathering with his family.
Surviving are his mother, Mary Elizabeth Lucas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his long-time partner’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
His life partner of 35 years, Sue Wilkerson, passed away before him.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be at Lawrenceport Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
