Judy A. Hamilton, 83, of Oolitic, passed away on August 27, 2025, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Bedford on August 14, 1942, to James Thomas Sproles and Mary Elizabeth (Waggoner) Boling. Judy married Roe G. Hamilton on April 10, 1972, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2008. Judy retired from Visteon in Bedford; she also worked at RCA in Bloomington. She attended the Bedford First Church of God. She loved Elvis, yard sales, and she loved people & talking to people. Her favorite place to be was church; she served the Lord faithfully, and she was loved and will be missed by her family.
Survivors include two sons, Boyce Wesley Smith of Bedford, and Troy (Jonie) Hamilton of Bedford, one daughter, Areonna Elizabeth England of Oolitic, granddaughter, Alycen Ray, grandson, Adam Henderson, two great grandchildren, Nolan Patton, and Nash Ray, two sisters, Debbie Kinder of Shoals, and Deanna (Jerry) Pemberton of Mitchell, one brother, Donnie (Belinda) Boling of New Castle.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roe G. Hamilton, one daughter in infancy, Lisa Ann Smith, two brothers, Jim Sproles, and Jack Sproles.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cresthaven Funeral Home with Pastor Trent Freed officiating, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens, and visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:00 (Noon) until service time at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
